Freehand Hotel located in Downtown Los Angeles, CA is a historic renovation and adaptive reuse of a Type I masonry commercial office to hotel project. The project totals 117,178 square feet throughout one structure with 13 levels above grade and one level below grade. It includes 226 hotel keys including a variety of floorplans ranging from suites to 59 shared rooms for groups of four, six, or eight. Amenities include a rooftop pool and lounge, a lobby with a bar, and two restaurants. Historic elements of the 1924 Commercial Exchange building were preserved throughout including the iconic neon blade sign, the tallest in Los Angeles.
